southwardbound Posted April 9, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 9, 2007 Can anyone recommend a fly fishing guide in the Cooper Landing area? Thanks!:)
scmomofboys Posted April 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 9, 2007 We have used Alaska Troutfitters several times, with several guides, and always been very satisfied. Jason taught our then 10 year old how to fly fish and he was hooked. I'm not home to give you the number, but you should be able to google it. They were featured in a fishing magazine, which is how my husband first heard of them.

southwardbound Posted April 10, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted April 10, 2007 Thanks for the imput. I contacted Alaska Troutfitters and they seemed quite pricey. $250.00 for the day. Is that a reasonable rate? Does anyone know of any independant fly fishing guides in the Cooper Landing area?:)
ysr_racer Posted April 14, 2007 #5 Share Posted April 14, 2007 $250 for the day is about right.
indigosails Posted May 19, 2012 #6 Share Posted May 19, 2012 Good to know. We are going salmon fishing with Troutfitters in Cooper Landing. My cousin lives there and he recommended them.
