ChrissySDMT Posted April 16, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 16, 2007 I've just started to plan my wedding, and am really looking at St. Thomas right now. Just wondering though, has anyone gotten married in St Maarten? I can't seem to find many private companies that perform weddings, outside of the resort ones. We definitely want to use a private company as opposed to TWE. Does anyone have any info for me on St Maarten weddings? It would be greatly appreciated! Also, I've read in some places that you need to be 'on the island' for a minimum of 2 days before you can apply for a licence. I've also read that nothing is required but valid photo ID and a birth certificate. Can anyone shed some light on this as to which one is correct? Thanks in advance! fairbrot Posted April 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted April 16, 2007 St. Maarten had too many restrictions for me. Here's a link for you: http://www.islandbrides.com/destination/St+Martin/requirements/27/ I'm getting married in St. Thomas. Good luck!
