Have You Been on All HAL Ships?

I have only been on 7 of the 13 but it will soon be 8 in 61 days with our upcoming Noordam cruise. There was a time when we were trying to cruise each ship so we could collect a tile of that ship. But with this years change to tiles that are not specific for that ship that game is now over.:( Not that I do not like the new tiles it is just that it meant more having the ship's name that I just cruised on the tile. I know that these can be purchased on eBay but to me I want to earn them. After I cruise the Noordam I may just try to puchase last year's tile of the Noordam.

We've been lucky enough to have sailed on 10 out of the 13 current ships:

Prinsendam (2x)

Statendam (2x)

Maasdam (2x)

Ryndam (4x)

Veendam (2x)

Volendam (2x)

Zaandam (2x)

Rotterdam (5x)

Zuiderdam (1x)

Oosterdam (3x)

plus one that's no longer in the fleet: Nieuw Amsterdam (2x)

Still hoping to sail on Amsterdam, Westerdam & Noordam

We sailed on the old Noordam in 1999 and will be sailing on the Zaandam next month.

I've cruised aboard 10 Damships ... 2 of which are no longer in service:

Nieuw Amsterdam

Rotterdam V

And 8 of which are:

Statendam

Maasdam

Ryndam

Volendam

Zaandam

Oosterdam

Westerdam

Noordam

In 2008 I'll add:

Rotterdam VI

Eurodam

To my totals, bringing them to 10 of the current (or then-current) ships, leaving:

Veendam

Amsterdam

Zuiderdam

Prinsendam

For me to cruise aboard and I'll be "caught up." :D

I plan on doing it. Don't know how. I might try to catch 3 of them on 7-day quickies and the Prinsendam in a repositioning

No, I haven't cruised on all thirteen.

I have yet to sail on Statendam, Noordam, Oosterdam, Prinsendam, Ryndam, and Zaandam.

Maybe by this time next year I will get to add one or two more to my list:rolleyes:

Our upcoming Maasdam cruises will be our 51st and 52nd on HAL ships but we have not yet been on Oosterdam, Westerdam or Prinsendam.

We've sailed on Noordam III (Old Noordam)

Statendam (about 5 cruises)

Maasdam (about 15 cruises)

Ryndam (about 5 cruises)

Veendam (about 4 cruises)

Rotterdam (about 5 cruises)

Amsterdam (2 cruises)

Zaandam (about 3 cruises)

Volendam (about 4 cruises)

Zuiderdam (about 5 cruises)

Noordam (1 cruise)

We definitely need to look for the chance to sail the three ships we have not yet cruised on. ;)

Amsterdam

Rotterdam

Statendam

Ryndam

Westerdam

And Noordam in 2007

Giving it the old college try, Jim. :)

I've sailed two HAL ships no longer in the fleet---ss Statendam and ss Rotterdam.

And I have nine of the current ships---several multiple times. I've sailed all the S- and R-class ships, and the Noordam.

This Summer I'm adding the Prinsendam to the list and next Summer I add the E-dam.

At that point it will be 11 out of 14 current, plus the two retired.

Not bad. Not bad at all. :D

Of the DAM ships currently in the fleet, I have sailed on:

Oosterdam

Ryndam

Volendam

Westerdam

Zaandam

Zuiderdam

Next HAL cruise is on the Volendam again.

Cruises are chosen most importantly by timing because of my impossible schedule, then by destination, and lastly by which ship it is.

Believe it or not, I have always gone by itinerary also, never really set out to cruise on every DAM ship. I've no plans to sail either the Westerdam or Zuiderdam in the near future. I have nothing against either of them, just our cruise card is full through 2008 unless we win the lottery!!:D

Wow Sail7Seas - You must love the Maasdam. Does she just have itinerarys that work for you, or is she your favoritte for some other reason?

A few observations:

1. If S7S hasn't done so, who has? Pardon my ignorance, but is Stephen Card a great HAL guru/Yoda who would all of us teach, yes? Sounds like a fine gentleman if he is a HAL expert.

2. After only 9 HAL cruises, I feel like such a rookie! :D

3. They seem to keep adding more faster than I can sail. I've got to make a better effort, here!

4. We've been on two no longer sailing:

Westerdam (old)

Noordam III (twice, including a suite for our 35th anniversary -- what a grand old lady, and I mean the ship, not DW! )

We've also been on:

Statendam

Veendam

Maasdam (twice)

Westerdam (new, b2b)

And, we are already booked on Noordam twice.

That only leaves, uh...., a bunch more to go! I can't wait.

Dave
