Fitnessmaniac Posted April 21, 2007 #1 Share Posted April 21, 2007 We are booked on the Mariner in Sept in a D1 cabin. Last night I saw a E2 cabin available that is closer to mid ship. (I get very sea sick sometimes) Anyway..I called C&A to see if I could change to the E2. I was told the E2 is about $40 per person cheaper. Ok..I didn't care..I just wanted to change to more mid ship. The rep. change to the new cabin. When I received my confirmation through email it was $440 more! Thank Goodness the Rep saw this and called me back immediately. :) Anyway..they could NOT change my cabin unless I paid more because there was a rate increase since I booked! I even asked if we could be moved to the E2 without a refund..just a lateral move. He said "no you have to pay the $440 difference" Does this sound correct to you? I am trying for a less expensive cabin..but would have to pay $440 more. P.S. The Rep did change me back to my original D1 cabin. :) Thanks for your help. You can only change within your same category without a charge/credit (whichever applies). When you change categories you have to pay current price. Sue L Posted April 21, 2007 #3 Share Posted April 21, 2007 Keep checking for D1's that are more midship and then you can switch without any difference in fare. When you get close to final payment time you will see a lot of open rooms/changes, just check often!!
Fitnessmaniac Posted April 21, 2007 Author #4 Share Posted April 21, 2007 Thank you so much for your replies. I guess I was just wondering why I couldn't get a cheaper cabin..but I didn't ask for a cheaper price than I already paid for the D1. :( I'll keep checking. Thanks again. :)
