Jellyfish in Tahiti

There doesn't have to be jelly fish present for you to get stung.. Some of their tentacles can measure 100' long. During storms they sometimes break off and float in the water for days. These can still put a real hurt on you days later. If you are worried about getting stung, if I were you, I'd take along some Meat Tenderizer, as it is the best first aid for jelly fish stings.. However, if you get stung bad, seek medical help..

in Tahiti, you generally tend to be more concerned about bumping into coral than dealing with jellyfish. on our honeymoon last year, there was another young couple with us - on one of the snorkeling excursions she bumped into coral and apparently a piece of it broke off in her leg. a rashy infection spread the entire way down her leg
