Guests in Concierge?

I think this is strictly up to the concierge......although rules specifically state no guests..........

On our last cruise we were sitting in the concierge and got up to leave early (Jewel of the Seas)......Andrea the concierge asked why we were leaving early and we told her our cruise companions didn't qualify for the concierge and we were going to meet them for a drink in the viking Crown.......it was no big deal to us and we were following the rules........

She said bring them tomorrow so they can experience the concierge experience. It was a very nice gesture on her part.........we brought our friends the next night but chose to sit outside the concierge and not take up space inside the lounge........and that is the only night we did that on an 8 night cruise.........but the thoughtfulness of the concierge we thought was very nice indeed.

There is no coffee card. What you get is a bigger room. I had a grand suite on Freedom and had no clue there was anything else. I just wanted a nicer room. Even if you don't drink as I didn't in there they have a great latte machine.

When I was on Serenade last summer, there were very few Diamond members onboard so my girlfriend, who was traveling with me as DH would not go to Alaska, got a key. It must really vary from sailing to sailing.

So far I have used the CL for booking port tours and getting a table at Portofino.
I don't drink much but my husband would go into the CL while on FOS just for some piece and quiet or to read a paper and have a cocktail before dinner. (Really nice since while he was there I had the cabin all to myself to get ready. Another huge plus! ;) )
We didn't see the need for snacks there since they brought mid-day snacks to our suite half the time.

Yeah, rif/raf are unwanted in these lounges. Next thing you know those folks in those inside cabins in steerage will try and sneak in!

But if folks in steerage are D/D+ members............they will be using the CL.....they just have further to walk!!

I am staying in a suite. My parents are not. Well I am gonna try to tip the concierge to allow my parents in. Money talks. Plus I am going to give my lounge key to my friends on board to share.

I think there should be a lounge for the Gold members only, and not allow those Platinum and Diamonds in it. We could show our cards to prove we are Gold, but if you had Platinum, or Diamond, you would be turned away immediately. Oh, and the drinks would be top shelf, with plenty of seats, but only for Gold members. :D :D

I would like to request the "Inside Out Lounge" for those who sail in an inside or an outside cabin.

This lounge would include tap water, watered down juices, left over foods from buffets, and a busboy as the concierge. But at least there is an exclusive lounge for all guests! Lets be fair people! :p

Well, I can tell you one thing. DH watched Julian in action in the concierge lounge on Enchantment of the Seas and no tricks got by him. He KNOWS who is supposed to be in there and a key isn't what gets them in. They walk in...and only once. It was a very entertaining sight to see. DH loves to tell people the story of Julian cleaning up the lounge on night one. :)
