I am leaving on the Radiance of the seas on Sat May 29 to Alaska and was just curious if anyone knew when the 2 formal nights take place because I would like to book the Chops grill but don't want to miss any great dining nights in the dining room! Can anyone recommend good nights to book?

Thanks!

Sorry I can't help you with the scheduling of the formal nights - not sure but they often are the same for different sailings of the same itinerary. So, we might find out once they start in May. Also, if you want to go by this to book Chops, I believe formal nights often/always coincide with days at seas......since you have extra time to primp and you aren't running and rushing around all day in port wearing yourself out!

Bananarama,

We are booked for the Radiance on May 22nd. I'll try to take care of the ship for you.

Based on everything I have read, the first formal night is Sunday (at sea day) and the second formal night is Wednesday (Hubbard Glacier day).

I'm actually thinking about skipping formal night this cruise. I wear a suit five days a week and that is the last thing that I want to do on vacation. I did a tuxedo on the last two cruises, but I'd rather spend the money in the casino this time.

Our plans are to do Chops on Sunday and Portofinos on Wednesday.
