That is terrible. It seems the city councillors have a lot to answer for. Surely they could have predicted this and planned for it.

I was in Naples about three weeks ago, when there had only been a rubbish collection problem for two days. It was dreadful then. I can only imagine what it is like now, and would advise anyone heading there to avoid the city until it is resolved.
