Cruisekitty1977 Posted May 29, 2007 #1 Share Posted May 29, 2007 I was thinking about doing some shore excursions on our princess cruise? Can someone recommend some independant shore excursion groups that they have used in the past that are realiable that will meet you by the princess cruise ships? Thanks! C&F Posted May 29, 2007 #2 Share Posted May 29, 2007 In Grand Turk, you can really just go to the beach or pool right at the cruise terminal. Governors beach is a quick cab ride away as well. In St. Thomas, we got off the ship, found a taxi and went to Magen's Bay beach. No need to spend the high cruise excursion price when you can do it yourself for way cheaper. I have never been to San Juan, but we will be going in July on the Crown. We will be doing the ship's Rainforest excursion. I am unfamiliar with SJ so I just figured it would be easier that way. There is also a link I found about a self guided walking tour that we may do after the Rainforest. (http://www.frommers.com/destinations/sanjuan/0323010008.html). pejay Posted May 29, 2007 #3 Share Posted May 29, 2007 http://godfreytoursvi.com/ We've taken his tours twice and enjoyed them. He does an excellent job. We paid $20 for 6 hours two years ago. His web site should have updated info.
GloriaF Posted May 29, 2007 #4 Share Posted May 29, 2007 The best info is on the Ports of Call board. I agree with Godfrey's for St Thomas - it is cheap, and includes all the high spots on the island. Another option for St Thomas is to go to St Johns on the ferry. There have been plenty of posts about how to do this. Check the Port of Call board for more specific info on each port.
