Secret viewing spot on Sapphire Princess?

crest

Recommended Posts

I've been reading about good (not crowded) viewing spots on some ships, any suggestions for Sapphire?

If there are any, at what time should we be there for College Fjord and Glacier Bay NP?

We booked an inside cabin on Lido, sailing in 4 days, pretty excited about it.

Thanks for your help!

We had an inside on Lido on Diamond in Alaska in '05 and loved the location.. sprung for a balcony this year since it's DH's first Alaska. One good place is the aft pool area on Aloha deck.. If it's inclimate weather, the disco. you will want to go forward and up to the "walkaround" around the pool for a full perspective but in GlaBay they do a full turnaround so no matter where you are you will get a full view. They have blankets you can sign for in glacier area.. in '05 we got a lounge chair on the "walkaround" area since it was nice day and just went forward/aft occasionally for a few minutes but the perspective from up there's great.:)

On the Diamond (Sapphire's sister ship) last year, we found one of the best spots for the glaciers and sailaways to be the area above the bridge. You reach it from the stairs by the outdoor pool. You have virtually a 360 degree view and can spot wildlife quite easily. I also got some stunning sunset photo ops. This one is from Glacier Bay around 11:00 pm. :)
