lss111 Posted June 6, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 6, 2007 Going to St john in September,we aren't interested in the reverse falls, but are interested in "whele watching"... Is there a website for other tours in St John? We would like to have an independent tourguide, not go on Hal excursions. Anyone with ideas? If so, I would consider it because the launching area for these tours is in St. George, which is 35 minutes away and would be cost prohibitive by taxi. Whereas an organized tour by ship would have a bus. In addition, if there is an organized tour by the cruise ship - that may use up all the available tour boats that are out there looking at the whales, leaving none for people who want to do it on their own. If you contact this place, they may have a different answer or may know of independent tour from Saint John you can join: http://www.town.stgeorge.nb.ca/dac.html

LSS111 closest whale watching is a 45 min to 1 hr drive west of Saint John, in St. George or St. Andrews http://www.tourismnewbrunswick.ca/en-CA/HNPackages/HNDASRwhale_watching.htm
