ata1976 Posted June 9, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 9, 2007 We've cruised in Sept/Oct before and the weather is great. The water temp was fine. When we cruised in February the water temp was on the cold side though. And unless you get a hurricane or something I wouldn't worry about the wind. cruiseman_tx Posted June 10, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 10, 2007 October is still 'hurricane season', so there is that chance that a storm may develop in the Caribbean. That said, we've taken several cruises in October and have only been affected by a storm one time, causing us to skip Cozumel and stop at Nassau instead. There's no need to worry though, as the captain will keep the ship away from any severe weather, even if he has to alter the itinerary or skip a port. The water has always been nice and warm at all the ports on the Eastern routes. We never fret over what the weather might be, as there is a much higher probability that the weather be good. We'll continue to cruise in October, along with many thousands of other cruisers.
