ckrobyn Posted June 11, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 11, 2007 Is there a preference for better scenery? I have sailed on the AOS 3 times and with the exception of an aft cabin this past February, we have always been on starboard and loved it. In terms of scenery, it depends which way the ship is in port - sometimes it backs in, in which case your view will be out to sea....I have found that the only port the ship really backs into is St. Thomas and even then you will still have a great view of the island. :)
MiniMom57 Posted June 11, 2007 #3 Share Posted June 11, 2007 We were on the port side (the last time robyn was on AOS) and enjoyed the view at each port......sounds like you can't really go wrong!
beachdiamonds Posted June 12, 2007 #4 Share Posted June 12, 2007 We had a starboard balcony and had a great view. Our friends had a port balcony and they enjoyed their view.....you can't really lose either way. We backed into St. Martin only. The other ports we "pulled" in. cb at sea Posted June 12, 2007 #5 Share Posted June 12, 2007 It won't matter one iota! You'll be sailing in the Caribbean--there's beautiful scenery all around--and if you can't see what you want to from your balcony, there are plenty of 360 degree views from the upper decks. I mean, you're not planning on staying on the balcony the entire trip, are you?
