Is it a safe area? Are there a lot of restaurants etc.. in the area?? As in most places, there are undesirable areas not to stay and I just want to be sure that I didn't book my reservation in one of them!

Thanks

Yes, the area is quite safe. If your driving it's very conveniant to the major highways. Across the street is Gulfstream Park, for horse racing and now it offers Las Vegas style slots. They've also added half a dozen restaurants within the complex. Also nearby is the Aventura Mall, upscale shops and restaurants, quite nice.
