uncharch Posted June 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted June 23, 2007 in key west? i heard there's a place that looks rundown on the outside but has the best fish... anyone know what this place is? thanks!
bhopal21 Posted June 24, 2007 #2 Share Posted June 24, 2007 Most everything in Key West looks "run down".:D If you are thinking of a fish sandwich i.e. square grouper then it is probably B. O.'s fishwagon that you are thinking of. If you are thinking "best fish" all around, it would have to be The Half Shell Raw Bar. No one on the island serves more than they do, from oysters, to crab, shrimp, lobster and most any seafood item that you can think of. Aquahound Posted September 13, 2007 #6 Share Posted September 13, 2007 Try Seven Fish, that's my only Fish recommendation!! Tried it. Hated it. Didn't even go back when I won a gift certificate. The dining room is extremely small and extremely loud when crowded. I agree with Mike. Half Shell is my favorite seafood restaurant in Key West. The atmosphere is laid back, the prices are cheap (compared to normal Key West prices), and the food is always great.

The dining room is extremely small and extremely loud when crowded. Exactly my sentiments Paul. I could hardly pick up my fork without elbowing someone at the next table and then not being able to get my gin and tonic . . . .that did it. I was through with that place.:D :D Mike:)
tigerdadky Posted September 14, 2007 #8 Share Posted September 14, 2007 I had my heart set on B.O. s but once I got there and seen their price for just a fish sandwich I was turned off. I kinda regret it, because even if the fish was expensive and might not have been the best it still would have been an experience.
