Rebex_B Posted October 18, 2020 #23327 Share Posted October 18, 2020 Fairbourne, Sorry about that, I talked to Cody and he said that the legacy.com is not set up yet. It was a typo to leave it in. When it is active, I’ll let you all know!! Sorry to send you all on a goose chase trying to find it, Rebecca.

Caribbean Chris Posted October 19, 2020 #23330 Share Posted October 19, 2020 Fairbourne, I laughed at your “long suffering” description, which so perfectly fits Horty, my Raylene, and other worried-looking black Labs. I always think yellow Labs (and definitely Golden Retrievers) have default happy faces in comparison. I’m looking forward to our week, starting Wednesday, hosting my friend Pat’s CCI hearing dog, Firenze, a yellow Lab. (He always stays with us when she is away for a scenario where she’d rather not bring him along.) The doggies have a wonderful time hanging out together 24/7, needless to say. Will take a photo to post.
rangeley Posted October 23, 2020 #23331 Share Posted October 23, 2020 Well had to cancel our January cruise. Final payment was due. 😭 Even though we knew we would have to cancel, it was still having it booked that made us feel better. We had wanted to take this cruise for years but for a long time the itinerary only went once a year and it was never a good time. It was a 10 day cruise too. 😭 Damn covid!! S.S. Cruisers Posted October 23, 2020 #23333 Share Posted October 23, 2020 Sorry Cindy, I could use a cruise about now. I was thinking, wouldn't it be safer to go now? Maybe others would think it was unsafe and there wouldn't be as many people. I would think the cruise lines would be cleaning like mad (men). Just a random thought that pops up in my head..... S.S. Cruisers Posted October 23, 2020 #23334 Share Posted October 23, 2020 Ooooo, I found a pup site for GoldenDoodles, BerneDoodles and SheepaDoodles! Omg, sooo cute. I don't remember if its ok to give websites out, but it isn't for cruising info. Its doodles doodles doodles dot com no spaces between the doodles. I imagine they would make good service dogs with the poodles mixed in.
kmg365suzyq Posted October 23, 2020 #23335 Share Posted October 23, 2020 I have 2 cruises scheduled for next year. One in April and my BIG 65th birthday cruise in November. Keeping my fingers crossed
Roger88 Posted October 23, 2020 #23336 Share Posted October 23, 2020 We really wanted to book two cruises in the end of the current year but we had to cancel both beforehand. Now we have no plans for the next year cause we dont want to deal with refunds and all this stuff prior to cruising. In any case, I hope that most of you will avoid this stressful situations
rpclmc Posted October 23, 2020 #23337 Share Posted October 23, 2020 Although I miss cruising a ton, I am not planning any until cruising has started back up and most, if not all, ports are open. There is so much to see and do in the U.S. Even though I have been to all 50 states several times, there is so much more to see. I just plan on finding more places to visit. The biggest advantage, no having to jump through hoops with paperwork for Halo. I might consider and all inclusive to Cancun. We have to see. After two months of being 100% non weight bearing on my right leg; broken knee and ankle, I was finally able to use it starting last Monday. Amazing how 2 months of not using it negates 52 years of walking. I am not able to stand and walk yet, but it is making my transfers to the wheelchair and commode so much easier. And I am doing my standing exercises religiously. I couldn't stand and walk well before the accident on August 9th, but I plan on getting back to my "normal" quickly. And then I plan to drop some weight and keeping up my exercising to get even better. Hope everyone is doing well. Linda and Halo
Caribbean Chris Posted October 26, 2020 #23338 Share Posted October 26, 2020 Well darn, Cindy. I hate that your January cruise is off. We switched everything to 2022, thinking “surely by then...”. Of course, we were thinking that earlier this year about 2021. There is no “surely” anymore. To cheer us all up, here’s what’s going on at my house with our young visitor. He’s a CCI Hearing Dog, Yellow Lab of course, and we have him until Wednesday when his mom returns from a trip. Hard to be down in the dumps with those three happy faces to enjoy.

Linda and Halo I was going to rebook for 2022 but there wasn't any cruises listed to the Caribbean. So we'll have to wait. Glad to hear you're feeling somewhat better. Just remember take it slow. We were supposed to be in Spain right now on a Transatlantic cruise. We have two cruises still scheduled for 2021, but who knows if we will be able to go.
Caribbean Chris Posted October 26, 2020 #23342 Share Posted October 26, 2020 (edited) I love the Doggie Halloween picture. Henri and her friend on the left look happy but that boy on the right looks like he's thinking, "I don't care what we're celebrating, I do NOT wear hats!"😃 Edited October 26, 2020 by Caribbean Chris

S.S. Cruisers Posted October 31, 2020 #23347 Share Posted October 31, 2020 Mornin' all; I saw where they may let Cruise ships start sailing again on 11/1. Didn't have a chance to read the article. Supposedly they all must have a strict guideline in place to help stop the spread of Covid. I guess time will tell. Hope everyone is having great weather. This is the time of year that we say "This is why we endure 4 months of "on fire" summer months". The weather has been fabulous. It is suppose to heat back up next week. Just hoping its tolereable. Everyone have a wonderful weekend. You too Roz! ❤️ think of you daily. Here come the tears. 😢 .

Besides, who wants to have to walk around all day on a cruise with a mask on. I can barely stand it to go outside to walk the dog. You can keep your "on fire" weather. Not for me!!!! It's going to be 70 this weekend, which is unusual for us. We had 3" of snow last week and 70 this week. 😲 i think of her daily too. 💔
S.S. Cruisers Posted November 6, 2020 #23349 Share Posted November 6, 2020 We are anguishly waiting for a vaccine too. Travis is a Senior and his on-line class work is not going well. We did let him go back to work about 3 weeks ago. His cubicle is in a separate room from other workers so he isn't around them. He wears his mask. Unfortunately our Covid numbers have spiked so he had to take a leave of absence again. They are really great working with him. As for cruising, I am not sure when or if that will happen. I can hope and dream, though, they can't take that from me. We may just end up moving onto a cruise ship and live there! If this Nation gets any more crazy I'm sure what we will do. Then the college and high school kids decided to have all these parties. And the numbers went up. Now we are back to over 2,000 new cases a day. It's very frustrating. As for us, we haven't been anywhere but to Johns mom's and to see my new granddaughter. We are still getting everything delivered. We did however book our cruise again. They posted the 2022 cruises. Maybe by then there will be a vaccine and it will be safe to go. But just having it booked makes us feel better. Gives us something to look forward to.
