Loved all of your pix and blog and more. We are going on the Galaxy 3/7/08 and have heard horror stories after we booked. Because the Galaxy is an older ship, I'd like to get the lowdown from someone who has recently been. How bad are the carpets, the sinks, the showers? Could it be so bad??? How is the food in comparison to Princess? We're interested in the food, relaxing (not necessarily at the poolside since we are from FL and get that all the time), shopping and sightseeing some, laying around the stateroom and having breakfast and more. Let me know what the entertainment was like too. Like I said, we got this deal we couldn't pass up, and now we are hearing all kinds of tales of woe! I can't believe it.

Hi BJ -- I didn't find anything to complain about, despite the negative comments I'd read online. Our room was lovely, the bathroom was fine.

 

I can't comment on the entertainment as I didn't partake -- we took later dinner and then straight to bed for early rising to visit the fascinating stops.
