Guest caribcruzin Posted July 15, 2007 #1 Share Posted July 15, 2007 Does anyone who has stayed here know if they have electrical converters/adapters there or should we purchase our own? Need them for the camera as well as an electrical shaver. Thanks!
mochuck Posted July 16, 2007 #2 Share Posted July 16, 2007 I think you should probably buy one. They might have them but it would come at a cost. If you take a power board as well you can recharge everything. I think you call power boards power strips in the US:confused:
M&A Posted July 16, 2007 #3 Share Posted July 16, 2007 I had no problem using my battery charger and my razor, you just have to buy an Aussie plug that takes the North American plug on the other end.

mochuck Posted July 16, 2007 #5 Share Posted July 16, 2007 No they are different. You will need an adaptor. these show the difference. The one on the left is Australian and the one on the right is British. I found a page on Wikipedia which shows all the different domestic plugs and sockets http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Domestic_AC_power_plugs_and_sockets

Carol & Jim Posted August 24, 2007 #7 Share Posted August 24, 2007 When we stayed at the Marriott last year they brought us a converter free of charge. It was a big clunky looking thing but worked like a charm! For some reason my Radio Shack converter wouldn't work. Probably operator error, me! Have fun, great hotel.:D
