Hi Margaret..

Thanks....

The experience we have had is that wheelchairs are not available until 12:30...as they are using them for passengers getting off the ship...If I plan to arrive at 10:30 that is not going to work.....That is why we are thinking of bringing our own wheelchair.

I guess I should call Carnival and tell them that...

We did it the 3rd night (2nd sea day). I thought that would be the best day because when in port I didn't want to have to rush back to the ship to get dressed and ready. So I would recommend either the 2nd or 3rd sea day. The 1st sea day is formal night as is the 3rd but on the last sea day you have to have to start packing so I don't think that's a good day. So IMO the 2nd sea day is perfect. :D

Sandi, quick question... The Miracle gets to San Juan in the afternoon and is there till midnight, do you recall if the ship and restaurants were pretty empty for dinner? Might be a good night for Nick and Noras if the other people at the dinner table will be away in port for dinner.

We didn't eat in the dining room that night because we got back to the ship around 6 or 7 and we had late seating so I didn't want to rush and get dressed. We just ate at the deli that night so I can't tell you if the dining room was crowded or not. Yes it would be a good night for Nick and Nora's....just make sure you make reservations for 8:30 or later.
