embarkation question

My DH & I will be cruising on the Crown this coming Monday. We live in Williamsburg, Brooklyn (10 minute drive to the cruise terminal). We were originally planning on boarding after 2pm b/c Princess said it was faster and DH could put in a 1/2 day at work. Does this really make it faster?? Will we still be able to make our reservations at the specialty restaurants if we board after 2?? And most importantly, will I get my egg-crate after 2?? :D I NEED the egg-crate.

You can email Princess to have the egg-crate done ahead of time. It usually works.

Yes, for reservations I certainly would board earlier. Why wait till 2? We arrive around 11 and are one of the first to board. Get all those things "done". Its almost like having an extra day on the ship. Enjoy! :D
