GoinCruisin Posted July 25, 2007 #101 Share Posted July 25, 2007 Is everybody objecting to ALL jeans,or just the old, ratty, ripped, faded jeans. Personally, I don't see anything wrong with new, pressed jeans. Am I alone in this line of thinking? In my opinion, denim is denim... doesn't matter how much it cost, I wouldn't wear it to a dining room on a cruise ship... then again, I don't press my jeans either :p I just don't think it is appropriate... Sure, you can dress them up real nice... and you can even boot scoot and boogie in them, but they still aren't appropriate for a dinner in the formal dining room... just my opinion. Allowed or not, I don't think it's very classy.
PrettyLA Posted July 25, 2007 #102 Share Posted July 25, 2007 I don't think there is anything wrong with wearing Abercrombie, Hollister, or other "preppy" clothes from those types of stores. I have seen a lot of kids my age wear that and they didn't stand out. Not my style to wear clothes made by using child labor, but hey! Others don't seem to mind wearing it, or for that matter care about it. If it's a polo shirt, I think it's fine. But just because you spend $50 on a TSHIRT does not mean it is appropriate for the dining room.

People can wear jeans to their local eateries but when you are asked to dress a certain way I think people should follow that request. If jeans are allowed it doesn't mean they look good. People wear jeans for so many things in their everyday lives, why not give them (the jeans) a break and dress a little nicer for once?

Personally, I don't see anything wrong with new, pressed jeans. Am I alone in this line of thinking? It does not matter one way or another if people object. Or how they feel. Everyone has different taste. Everyone lives differently. I would object to someone wearing undersized polyester pants and that person would probably object to me wearing nice fitting jeans. All that matters is nice jeans are allowed in the dining room on casual nights. So I quess the answer to your question is Carnival is in the same line of thinking that you are;)

I mean, if Carnival doesn't specifically state it, it can be worn right??? :p
