Embassy Suites - How are they?

I reserved some days at the Embasyy Suites on Julia St., anyone stay at that hotel? How are they?

It's been a while since we have stayed there, but we pass it all the time. A very nice place in a convenient location in the warehouse district. About eight blocks from the French Quarter.

We stayed there in 2002 and really liked it. At that time you got a free breakfast, not the continental fare a real breakfast for everynight of your stay. Rooms were nice and roomy, we had a 1 bedroom suite. Remember if you belong to Hilton Honors you can get points for you stay as well.

Cabs charge a flat rate of $7 per person to the cruise terminal, regardless of where you pick you up. If you want to beat this system (and I'm not suggesting that you do), have one person catch the cab with the luggage and the others walk. It's only about three blocks to the terminal from Embassy Suites.
