Recent Passport question ???

My DH just got his passport this past week (still waiting on mine to arrive) As I was going over all the info I noticed that the the issued date was July 25, 2007 and the expiration date is July 24, 2008. :eek: I now fine out that my DH didn't read the paper that came with it, for some reason they said he have everything to prove citizenship. I don't know what more they wanted his BC has the gold foil raised seal on it. I'm going to have to take it down to our city hall and fine out what is up with it. At least we have one for him to go with on this cruise.

It sounds like they issued him a "limited" passport, either intentionally or by mistake.

 

Many times they will list a reason for this on the ammendment pages in the back. A common reason is that the birth certificate you sent in was not a true certified copy.

 

This is fixable, you just need to jump through the right hoops.
