Very Advanced Planning

Recommended Posts

I'm a bit anal ...I just need to plan in advance. Okay. Here goes. Freedom of the Seas 2/10/08 coming off the ship (in a JS) on 2/17/08. We have a flight at 1:30 in Fort Lauderdale. My mother is in a wheelchair but can transfer to a car (can't do a bus or a van). What time do I have the car service pick us up at the pier?

On these boards that is not far ahead :D I already have sept 2008 booked and planning 2009. You will be off the ship no later than 10 or 10:30 most likely earlier. You are called by colors depending on flight times, etc. Last week on the Serenade they gave us a form to fill out the 2nd day detailing flight times etc and we ended up with Gray #2 based on a 1:10 flight. We were off the ship at 8:15. You have to be out of your cabin by 8am. It is really hard to give a specific time unless you do self-disembark at 7-7:30 am of so but you have to be able to carry off all your own luggage.

Trust me - there is nothing wrong with advanced planning - I am a member of this special group!!

It usually depends what color ticket your assigned unless you are diamond/diamond plus - then you get off as early as 7-7:30 a.m. They let us off before the others - nice perk!

You could also get different color tickets at the Customer Relations by telling them you have a car service coming to pick you up for your mom in the wheelchair.

I believe I have heard people say that everyone is usually off by 9:30 unless they are choosing to hang around.

Good Luck! Enjoy your trip.
