Parking in Kauai

I read that the parking lot at the ship dock in Nawiliwili has limited spaces and you need to purchase your space after picking up the car. We are renting a car but we are doing a airplane tour first with comp transfers so will be after 11am b4 we get back to parking lot with car. Does this lot fill up usually and if it is full by the time we get back is there any other parking available close to the dock? Mahalo

There is a parking lot across the street and another one just a few blocks farther down the road.
