debbymark Posted August 18, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 18, 2007 Has anyone booked online with Royal Caribbean or do you all go through a TA? Many thanks
reapfm Posted August 18, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 18, 2007 I have done both. However, I do prefer to book online or direct with RCI because if there is a price reduction I don't have to try to get in touch with the TA, docs come about 6 weeks prior to cruise, and if I have any questions, can easily call RCI or C&A direct. PH8 Posted August 18, 2007 #4 Share Posted August 18, 2007 I book directly, but not online............not all cabins show and I like to ask about availability of certain ones first...........
dutchess43 Posted August 18, 2007 #5 Share Posted August 18, 2007 RCL & X I like to book myself because there is no difference in the pricing. Also if the price goes down it is much easier to contact RCL or X & have it done immediately. I also call once I zero in on a cruise to find out the available cabins. Other cruise lines I go through a TA because there is wiggle room to reduce pricing. I still watch pricing regardless of what line I book!
geojobes Posted August 18, 2007 #6 Share Posted August 18, 2007 I book with a TA (or transfer to my TA). I do this, because I always get On Board Credit from them. The price is the same. My next (Grandeur) cruise I booked aboard the Empress for a $200 OBC, I transfered it to my TA & got a $150 OBC from Them. That's $350 OBC for this cruise. Not too bad. Not all TA's do this though. I prefer a brick & mortar TA to the online ones, because I know how to get a hold of them if there are problems. My TA always checks for lower prices & while I've never had a drop, I would get the lower price for sure. Opinions run both ways on this subject, so either is a good option. Either way you book, have a great cruise.
