another final payment question

What happens if you are late paying final payment? My friends have not paid final payment yet and it was due yesterday for our November 11th cruise.

If they are late paying a travel agent the travel agent may have added a couple of days of cushion into the payment date and they MAY be ok if they get right on it. If the payment was due to the cruise line yesterday they may be too late and their cruise may be cancelled.

Yesterday to Nov. 11 was 84 days; Final payments are due AT PRINCESS 75 days before sailing. Your friends are still OK, but tell them to get that credit card processed ASAP.

Travel agents often give themselves several days' "cushion" and request final payment before the actual Princess due date. Except for holiday and a few other cruises when final payment is due 90 days prior, final payment is normally due 75 days before embarkation.

 

Final payment for my November 4 cruise is due on Monday, 8/20 to my TA. So, your friends are still OK but they should follow-up and check with their TA to make payment.

Princess sometimes gives agents leway past the 75 days. If it isn't paid on day 75 - you often have a few more days before Princess cancels the cabin.

 

Just have them get a hold of the agent on Monday.
