In2why Posted August 23, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 23, 2007 Hiya...thank you for all the great advice on your homeland. I have a question about snorkeling. We have a 4 year old son and since we live on the Bay in VA he swims better than most adults. When I checked on the Carnival excursion the minimum was 6. Do you know if younger children are allowed on any of the tours booked separately? We are getting him comfortable with the mask and breather in our pool since sadly even though the water is great here it isn't anything near clear. :( I looked at the glass bottom boats but judging from the pics they look like a bit of a waste of time. I appreciate any help you can provide.
Snorkel2Much Posted August 23, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 23, 2007 Not Scubagrl but.......... Stuart Cove's minimum age is 4. From their website terms & conditions: "CHILDREN - Children's ages must be provided with at the time of the initial reservation in order to receive child rates (where applicable). Children under the age of 4 are not permitted on Stuart Cove's boats. Children under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian in order to participate in any Stuart Cove's activity. TO SNORKEL - You must be at least 4 years old. As is common practice in the marine industry, all participants will be required to sign a release form prior to participating in any event. The age limit is mainly for insurance purposes.. Most tours are off the boat.. since the reefs around the beach are depleted and bleached.
