Cortesefam Posted August 26, 2007 #1 Share Posted August 26, 2007 Any reports from families making the trans-Atlantic crossing on the QM2? We love longer cruises and days at sea, so the 5 days at sea is actually an attraction for us. The main question we have is whether the "formality" factor will overwhelm the fun/adventure dynamic of being at sea and getting to Europe by ship. We would welcome any reports on family experiences on the QM2--our kids will be 12 and 15 next summer when we are considering the trip. 741323 Posted August 30, 2007 #2 Share Posted August 30, 2007 No personal experience but read somewhere - maybe frommers - that the QM2 kids and teen clubs are the best kept secrets at sea.

Ginger11 Posted September 19, 2007 #4 Share Posted September 19, 2007 I took the QM2 with my two-year old son on a 4 day cruise to Canada last year. I don't know how there are program is for older children, but I was very pleased with the nursury staff and the program for younger children. I felt very comfortable leaving my son there while I enjoyed sometime to myself.
