Leaving NYC on 20th November on QM2 for Caribbean, obviously it will be cold in New York, when will it start to feel warm, it is a 2 day cruise to first port.

Hi David,

Sometimes it can be quite warm in NYC in November, but I won't bore you with stories of meteorological oddities.

Using the distance from port to port calculator and taking Miami as a good southern point latitude-wise to expect warm weather, it should be sometime around the middle of the second day at sea. Ta da! :)

Yup...what Angela said only skip the G&T...

We left from Lauderdale last Dec and it was in the 80's....in the morning everyone was in shorts on deck....lovely.

I leave on the same trip Nov 10th and expect chilly weather at sea for about 36 hours til it starts to feel really warm, and then it's positively balmy, day and night :D

Cheers, Penny

No. You're the one who turned her nose up at it in the first place:p Now stand back: I think there's going to be a fight over that gin:)

Hey, if we're actually drinking Penny's gin, does that mean when we give the bartender our order, he puts it on Penny's bill? I think it does. ;)

In the check in line in Brooklyn.

Seriously, by the afternoon of day 2 it will be warmer. NY can be warmer than you think that time of year, and the Caribbean can be cool that time of year.

Happy sailing.

Well then, you've got room to spare! And your tab can now look like ours....

Penny,

cut out some of those unnecessary spa appointments and you will have plenty of room for us!

And stop being so selfish! Heavens!

I swear, some people think only of themselves!

Karie,

who would go to the ends of the earth to help fill out Penny's bar tab! That's what friends do!

Ladies?

Penny - don't bother about that - just think how much more damage you can do with our help:) Then think - they don't let you off until you've paid your bill. If you can't pay it they couldn't let you off:) See - we're damaging our livers just for your sake;)

Hi David, I am also on the November 20th cruise. It was surprisingly warm here in NYC last November. (Also, in December and January.) Usually though we have taken out the winter coats by then. I am figuring that it should be warming up by our second day sailing though. I am certainly planning on taking plenty of summer clothes.
