We leave on the Carnival Glory in 3 weeks!! Woo-Hoo! We stop in St. Martin and we just want to do a little shopping then visit Orient Beach. A few questions...where does the ship dock? Where is the best shopping? How far is Orient beach from the dock? Thanks for your help!

First take a $6pp taxi/van to the beach, then go to Phillipsburg via taxi to shop, then a short ferry ride across the bay to the dock. That way you won't have your shopping stuff lying on the beach while you're in the water.

You're going to love OB. Best beach in the Caribbean. Can't wait to get back!

We grab a watertaxi to Phillipsburg in cool morning because the afternoon sun is very hot for shopping. Then we go back to the ship around noon, change into swimsuit (20 minutes) and grab a taxi to the beach. You can either eat lunch on the ship or have a great lunch with a couple beers at Pirates for less then $15 a person. As you stand on deck leaving the port, you will consider this was one of your best days for a long time.
