2manyanimals Posted August 28, 2004 #1 Share Posted August 28, 2004 Hello , I am Cajun and we eat almost anything. One of my favorite things is to find different foods that we can't buy here in New Orleans while on vacation. Will I be able to bring packaged items home? If this turns out to be a duplicate-I'm sorry. I thought I had post this earlier and I can't find it. Thanks Diane
Cotton Posted August 28, 2004 #2 Share Posted August 28, 2004 Hi Diane, native New Orleanian myself. Yep, you can find lots of packaged items in the stores, and bring back with no problem. Just nothing fresh, of course. I've done that several times - just buy in the ports, put into your totebag to bring back onto ship. (Nobody's ever asked me what was in my packages.) :D From the title of your post, I was thinking you might be inquiring about food on the ship, and I was ready to tell you - and will anyway - DON"T eat the gumbo! It's not bad, just not what we're used to at all.
