wine package

Recommended Posts

Yes, you can bring any wine not consumed where ever you want. We would bring ours into the shows after dinner, or to our room. But might I recommend that the wine list on the ship is much more extensive with a better selection than the pre-order list. Wait till you get on the ship. You will have a much better selection.

The wine package is good value; you have the option of leaving your unfinished wine in the dining room for the next evening (your waiter will ensure it is placed in ice bucket near your table (white) or on the table (red) or you can take the unfinished bottle back to your cabin. The choices on all three tiers are reasonable; best to book onboard when you embark. If you have any unfinished bottles ( ) at the end of the cruise; you ask for them to be brought to you unopened during the last dinner and just take them home with you.

Champagne is one of the wine selections so you might think of bringing a re-corker so you could take it to your room and enjoy mimosa's in the morning.....

Cheers

The wine packages are very good values, but the trade-off is that your selection is very limited. When you first board the ship you will see the wine stewards usually set-up right outside the lunch buffet area with a list of the various wine packages. You can take your time, review the selections vs the complete wine list and make your decision. You can even wait until dinner to buy the package (its available at the table from your waiter). When we are on longer RCI cruises (10 days or longer) we will often buy the package for 7 days and use the wine list for the other nights. Its the best of both worlds.
