Any celebrity sightings?

Hello,

 

Has anyone seen a celebrity on a cruise before? When I went on the Big Red Boat years ago, some people from my soap opera were on it. "Marly/Victoria and Jake" from Another World. I think their real names are, Ellen Wheeler, and Tom Eplin. Anyway, this question is just for fun. Wondering if stars like cruises like we do...:cool:

Paula Dean, from the Food Network, was on the Liberty of the Seas 10/6 Western Caribbean cruise...my wife was disapointed that we were sailing the Liberty the *following* week, as she likes Paula's shows.

When I was on the Triumph I was inline at the pursers desk next to that guy with all the tattoos...You know the CAR GUY??? The guy married to Sandra Bullock....Jesse James I think is his name.

On a similar thread some time ago a cruiser mentioned that Gloria Estefan has taken her family on cruises. It be nice to meet her, she canceled the only concert that I ever had front row seats for. Some lame excuse about a bus accident. ;)

Susan Anton was the headliner on my cruise on the Norway years ago. She was very nice (and beautiful) and mixed with the passengers daily. In fact, I played basketball with her one day and she was pretty good!

Ahh gotta love it! The Big red boat ( PCL) ( should of been named the little red dingy) was my first few cruises when I was like 12 years old :D

I would imagine most "celebrities" (unless they are the entertainment itself) would go on the more expensive lines. I had a boss (lawyer) who cruised, and I doubt that he would be caught dead with the unwashed masses :D .

Many times it is difficult to interpret what is being typed. I for one initially took the smileys as sarcasm. Thanks for clarifying.

 

On our Holiday cruise in 04 I swore I saw John Lennon. Who I saw was a member of Revolution. They were entertaining on the ship.

Sounds like a great job! I'm sure you get to see alot of celebrities. I worked as a real estate paralegal but in Jersey I only got to see Joe Schmoe from down the block. :eek:

Joe Schmoe from Jersey probably much easier to deal with than your average celebrity in Los Angeles, trust me. lol.

Had David Brenner and Mary Wilson (Supremes) on different sailings.

 

One was on the Monarch and I don't recall the other ship (Song of Norway maybe?)

 

They mingled with us passengers and was truly down to earth.

 

David loved the casino.

If I am not mistaken, I believe Gloria Estefan is the 'Godmother' of one of the ships.
