Up Grade Fairy Was Good To Us

We got good news from our TA on our cabin assingments today from HAL for the Ryndam's Christmas Cruise. We booked HH (obstructed view) guarantee and received an upgrade to Category C--mid ship. A nice surprise. I didn't think we would go up 10 categories. Less than 5 weeks.

Congrats!! I hope the upgrade fairy visits us on the same ship in July to Alaska. We booked a suite guarantee A catagory.... hope we are as lucky as you! (thats really jealousy speaking, lol). ;)

Interesting to note the information on these posts regarding upgrades.....My husband and I booked a cruise on the Maasdam for April 6th in a guaranteed BB category, and our TA indicated that we probably will not be receiving an upgrade. This may be true, but I'm glad that all of you received an upgrade to your reservations, so our TA just might be wrong. We love what we have, but it would be a great surprise to get something different. Not having sailed on HAL before, we don't know what is in store for us.:)

Hokiepoq: Just check in online at HAL registration site and your room # comes up or go to book excursions.

Thanks everyone. My TA thinks that the great upgrade was because of their agency's standing with HAL. They supposibly book alot of cruises with them. It doesn't matter to me as long as I have a cabin.

Really great upgrade!!! Congrats and enjoy. Wish I knew how that system works since fellow cruisers on our cruise in 5 days are still waiting for cabin assignments and are STILL getting UPSELL offers from HAL.
