Disembarking Liberty & Luggage Valet

Recommended Posts

I spoke to our airline today and found out that they had a schedule change for our return from Miami to Newark, NJ on April 26th. They changed our flight from previously leaving at 2:30 pm to now leaving at 12:55 pm. We will be getting off the Liberty of the Seas.

Do you think that we can make it without too much stress? Considering how many people have to get off and go thru customs. We'd have to be at the airport about 10:30 am. How far is it from the Miami's port to the airport? Is this doable? It's the only direct non stop except for one at 9 pm.

Also, does anyone know if we can use the Luggage Valet Service with a 12:55 flight?

I didn't look at the luggage valet since we flew out of FLL but when we got off last week we were checked in and heading for security at 10:40 and we did not rush since we had a 2PM flight. Two of our traveling party almost were bumped up to the 10:55AM flight if they had gotten there just a few minutes earlier - and again this was the further away airport. You should have no problem! :)

We got off the LOS last week at 6:50am. Just ask our room steward for tags that get you off the ship first. We got our luggage, hopped in a cab and were at the airport before 8am. It is a 15 minute trip to MIA. We had an 11:40am flight and could have made a 9am flight with ease! You should have tons of extra time.

Thanks for all your comments. Now I feel more comfortable taking the 12:55 pm flight.

Still not sure about the luggage valet service. Does RCCL offer it only for flights after 12 o'clock? If 12 is the time, then we should be OK.

We were on the Liberty in late October and at that time they did not offer the luggage valet service. We were disappointed because we always use the valet service. We were told it is not offered yet on the Liberty.

Liberty doesnt offer the luggage valet service at all. Not sure why - might be the day of week they disembark (Sat) ?

You should have no problem making your flight. We had a 12:45 flight and were at the airport by 8:30. We just asked our steward to get us earlier tags than originally assigned.
