Thanks so much for the pictures and the great review. Now I'm even more excited. I'll be sailing on her on the 14th of this month (7 days!!!!) and can't wait. It was so nice to hear that her crew is as great as they were when I sailed on her two years ago. Thanks again!!!!

sdear- thanks so much for your response. She is still trying to get him to bring a jacket. If nothing else, it will make for a nice "engagment" photo. I think he has the ring & it is going along on this trip!!!!!

How exciting !!! Good luck !!

Forgot to ask.. Did they have the midnight buffet on your cruise? or the chocolate buffet maybe? :)

Size wise...I would say it was similar to Fantasy.

No chocolate buffet, but they did have a midnight buffet on the pool deck one night. It was packed..and the spread of food looked great. I didnt have any, was still too stuffed from dinner :p

Again, how formal is formal night? Will my husband feel comfortable in a sports coat and slacks?

Thanks!

Julie

Emerald Seas, Flavia, Big Red Boat: Too many years to count.

Norwegein Sea, Legend of the Seas: Recent history!

He will be fine. Many didn't even have a sport coat on, just nice slacks and a shirt. I noticed on the short cruises people weren't near as dressed up, some were, but not as many as the longer cruises.

Have fun !

Formal night dress was definitely dressier than the other nights, but I was told many people don't go as fancy on the shorter cruises. We even saw 1 character in a "Cat-in-the-Hat" type hat in there & he was being quite obnoxious so was glad we were some distance from that table. Enjoy the dining room, recommend eating atleast 1 breakfast there also!

How strict where they on formal night? Do they allow men in with just shirt & tie - no jacket?????? Need to know DD is leaving on Monday with her boyfriend & he doesn't want to take a jacket.

You can always have dinner in the Windjammer. No one is forcing anyone to go to the dining room.

As for the question on the cruise director...I knew someone would ask me that and for the life of me, I can't recall his name. Curly headed man , young, full of energy, and he was everywhere ! For the life of me, I can't remember his name  Maybe someone else can chime in here?

----------------Warning-------------------

Any person cruising Soverign of the Seas from March 10-14, be advised.

There will be several apelike creatures staggering about at all hours of the night. They will most likely smell of alcohol and have a wild look in their eyes. They have been known to defy authority of any kind and should be approached with extreme caution. Do not, I repeat, do not let your children near them. They have the mysterious power of influencing the youthful mind. I will be attending this vessel of madness to personally observe this creature of chaos. I fear, however that my infiltration may lead to my ultimate demise. With much luck you will hear from me again.
