Drink Cards ?

Quick question... the drink cards for coffee, wine, etc that you can purchase on the ship ... is this a real card that you must carry with you when you want to purchase one of those drinks? Or are they able to see it linked to your account when you give you cabin number so you do not have to bother with a card? Many thanks

Wine card is a real card that is punched when you get a glass of wine.

I believe the soda cards are actual cards. When you "buy" a soda you get the can and a glass of ice. If you use the card you just get a glass of soda (they don't bring the can because your card only buys a glass and not a whole can).

The soda card can not be used for room service and I found the wine card discouraged in a very subtle way by some of the bartenders.

We found that the coffee card was great, very convenient...we got 10 coffees with each card, & it was delicious.
