walking to shopping

Recommended Posts

Hello,

You should be docked in Crown Bay. There is a little shopping there. The distance to downtown where there is a lot of shopping, resturants, historic sites is about 1.7 miles, sidewalk most of the way, flat, its along a main road - not very scenic until you get downtown.

PS. just clarifying the note about scenic: what you see along the road from Crown Bay to downtown are things related to everyday life like grocery store, school, bank, gas station, post office, ball field... Most people equate the water/ocean here as scenic, you can see the harbor once you get to town.

It all depends on what you're looking for when you want to shop.

There are some fine jewelry stores - Milano and Aseck. Cardow's should be opening sometime in January. I can't remember if Diamonds International is there, though.

Royal Caribbean (some electronics and jewelry) is there.

There's a store selling Caribbean inspired souvenirs with hats and cover-ups. Blue something or other.

V&G's has clothing, ladies' shoes, and souvenirs. There's another boutique with dressy clothes (women's of course!)

There's a liquor store.

There are outdoor kiosks with costume jewelry, "designer" bags, souvenirs, and other affordable items.

There''s an ice cream shop, and an outdoor bar.

There's a laser engraver who makes beautiful items from your photos. You won't find this service in town.

Town has more jewelry stores, more clothing stores (Tommy Hilfiger, Fresh Produce, Local Color, etc), more of everything.
