I have hopefully given you the link to marine-marchande, where on the first page if you scroll down you should see the accomodation of the CMA CGM Nabucco a ship i sailed on last year & the accomodation was first class.

what is the ballpark fare for a trip like this?

Roughly around £5,000 (US $10,000) for a return voyage of over 60 days duration. Or £2,500 (US $5,000) for a one way trip in either direction of about 30 days duration, at the current exchange rates prices are based on double occupancy, so prices are per person.

Thanks for posting these pics. All my years on the hawser aboard tugboats, I never had the pleasure of sharing time aboard the freighters I passed and nudged to the dock. Have to do it sometime, would be great material for another book.
