1/2 price meals and beer

I'm sailing on the Jewel for 9 days in Feb. and have read about beer specials that offer 1/2 price at special times. Anyone know what time of day these specials are offered?

 

I have also read that the specialties like Cagney's etc. offer 50% off the upcharge for early dinner hours. Is this still true?

I've been on the Jewel twice...I love that ship! Apparently, the timing to the beer specials varies from cruise to cruise, ship to ship. They are offered I understand out, by the pool. It's still a good idea to buy the beer helmet, take extras back to your room.

 

The latest CC reviews have said that the 1/2 price dinner option is now order to late, rather than early diners.

The 1/2 price dinner specials were real early when we were on the Jewel the week of Nov. 23.

My experience is that they are either early, pretty late, neither or both depending on demand.

Other NCL ships offered 5:30 seatings for specialty rest. 2 for 1 upcharge. Just off Majesty and they only offered first and last seatings while in port at the 2 for 1 price - it was empty most of the time from what we saw. The night we enjoyed a wonderful dinner there were two other couples.

I hope the specials are late on our cruise. I certainly do not like to eat early in the evening!
