B8C Posted January 9, 2008 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2008 Cruising to St. Thomas and St. Kitts in April. Trying to surprise DH with a catamaran sail to St. John (to Cinnamon Bay) or to Nevis (St. Kitts) for snorkeling. Which would be the better snorkeling? Thanks in advance for your help. canttanman Posted January 9, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 9, 2008 The snorkeling in Nevis was just average, but the catamaran trip was totally awesome!

drifting_away Posted February 4, 2008 #8 Share Posted February 4, 2008 St. John is awesome. Even Trunk Bay is nice if you stay away from the crowded side. My husband and I saw a great Octopus floating in its flared (like a sun) position then we actually spotted a 5-6ft reef shark. It was great and tons of fish:)
macdons Posted February 6, 2008 #9 Share Posted February 6, 2008 Be careful if you go to Coki Beach we had snorkel gear ripped off. Sapphire Beach is much larger it has shade and lounges for rent and is just a bit farther down the same road basically. Much safer choice. Good snorkeling. I've snorkeled both and, IMHO, St. John is the clear winner.
