getaway101 Posted September 15, 2004 #2 Share Posted September 15, 2004 awsmrn - Good pictures. Wish I were there already. Did you do a ship excursion to Paradise Beach or did you go on your own? Looking forward to this!
cmjsr Posted September 15, 2004 #3 Share Posted September 15, 2004 Very nice pictures. I just love to look at people's pictures especially right before I go on a cruise. If you'd like, here are some of my pictures you can check out. http://community.webshots.com/user/cmjsr I hope the link worked. We will be in Cozumel on our cruise in a few weeks, I love it there. awsmrn Posted September 16, 2004 Author #4 Share Posted September 16, 2004 Getaway101: We went to PB on our own, don't think the ship offered it as an excursion. Right now there is no admitance fee but I read on the boards here that in Oct. they will start to charge a $5.00 fee if you use any of the toy equipment. They said they were not making enough money with just the food and drinks to buy or repair the toys. It was a very pretty beach. You can just lounge in a chair on the beach and the waiter will come take your order. I'm sure you will enjoy it!! cmjsr: You have some very nice pics!!! We are ready to go on another cruise but are looking for info on other ships. Can you tell me your favorite and why???
Jem4life Posted September 17, 2004 #5 Share Posted September 17, 2004 We went to PB on our own,...... I'm sure you will enjoy it!! So you'd recommend PB? We are going in March and have a group of 15 people (including kids) Trying to find at least a couple things we can all do as a group that won't "break the bank"! Looks like PB has something for everyone! BTW, nice pictures. Looks like you had fun! Jean
deerby27 Posted September 28, 2004 #6 Share Posted September 28, 2004 The Holiday was my first cruise in 1992. Thank you for the nice walk down memory lane.:)
cmjsr Posted September 28, 2004 #7 Share Posted September 28, 2004 My favorite is the Princess Golden (so far). I've done RCCL - Monarch 2x's (loved it), Carnival - Triumph (pretty cool), Regal - Empress (very cool / rustic), and Princess - Golden (the best). I just loved how everything was set up on the Golden. I thought it was more elegant and had a touch more of my style of a ship. It's all in what you like and make out of it so really any ship is great. I am going on RCCL - Enchantment on Oct 11th so I will have to post a review when we get back but that ship looks like it'll be up there for me. Happy Cruising
