Please help...Liberty or Splendor??

Love this board. I've gotten tons of great info as everyone seems to be so willing to help. Anyway, I've been racking my brain with what cruise line, what ship, what month, etc... I have two cruises on hold and am supposed to make a decision by tonight otherwise I lose both. I will be cruising with my husband and two boys, ages 9 & 13. We are looking to sail in November/December. I have not cruised in 20 years and have never cruised on Carnival. Both cruises are 7 nights. The Liberty is about $50 more than the Splendor when the same cabin catagories are compared. I've decided against a balcony since it tacks on about $860 more. If it was a few hundred, I'd considered it but I just can't see spending that much more. So here are my options:

 

Liberty - Miami, Half Moon Cay, St Thomas, San Juan, Grand Turk

 

Splendor - Fl. Lauderdale, San Juan, St. Thomas, La Roma Dominican

Republic, Nassau

I like the port of call that the Liberty sails. But the Splendor will be NEW. Looks like it will be big and beautiful. And those ports should be fun too! We chose the Splendor for December.
