grandmaa Posted January 31, 2008 #2 Share Posted January 31, 2008 Hi..We were on the Thanksgiving Week cruise with our children and grandchildren (there were 9 of us) and we had Mike in the Canelletto dining room. He was wonderful with the children as well as his assistant. Also the head waiter for that area did magic tricks for the children and they loved it. In his area there were also tables for 2. Fun cruise..Enjoy!!
BJS Posted January 31, 2008 #3 Share Posted January 31, 2008 To anyone who has been on the Golden in the past few months.........can you recommend any wait staff? For the anytime dining rooms.........Thanks, Carole That is a hard question to answer as the dining staff will switch between the two anytime dining rooms from cruise to cruise. They also switch between anytime and traditional dining rooms from cruise to cruise. .
SC_Sam Posted January 31, 2008 #4 Share Posted January 31, 2008 We were on last week and ate in the Donatello (6th floor) dining room every night. We had 5 different wait teams and they were all superb.
Rare PescadoAmarillo Posted January 31, 2008 #5 Share Posted January 31, 2008 I agree that the waitstaff moves between dining rooms, and can even leave the ship between cruises. Saying that, if you have the good fortune to encounter Antonio (in case there's more than one, he's been a waiter for 32 years, so there can't be that many of those), he's one of the best we've ever had anywhere. He was in Bernini last week.
