I am working on the details for a May trip with my mother (late 70s).

Every time I use this site, I am AMAZED at the information.

Thanks to you all I have booked the Aqua Palms, the PPC super ambassador package, the shore excursions with Roberts, etc. Plus, I just found a recommendation on the site for transportation from the airport to hotel. :-)

However, I have a couple of questions. I am getting confused as to where exactly the hotel is located. Is it near Duke's or Tiki's? I thought they were right there, but now I am not sure. Is House Without a Key near there?

If they aren't walking distance, we will eat elsewhere. A mile one way is easily walking distance in my opinion (for my mother).

Also, is there a good place to get shaved ice near there? I took her to New Zealand at Christmas, and she keeps saying how she LOVES shaved ice now. lol ..just checking to see if it is around there. It may not even be the same in Hawaii because some customers said it wasn't what they expected. All I know is it was DELICIOUS.

OK off to look into transportation from the airport.

Aqua Palms is at 1850 Ala Moana Blvd next door to the Wailana Coffee Shop (1860 Ala Moana Blvd). Wailana is on the corner of Ena Rd and Ala Moana Blvd.

A/P Hotel is across the street from the Hilton Hawaiian Village. The hotel is on the bus line with easy access to Ala Moana Shopping Center.

Forgot to mention that House w/o a key restaurant is in the Halekulani Hotel on Kalia Rd.

Ena Rd and Kalia Rd are the same road, they just change names when they are intersected by Ala Moana Blvd.

Halekulani Hotel is about 1/4+ mile from Aqua Palms. Easy walking thru Ft. DeRussy.

We too are staying at the Aqua Palms.... we get in around 3 the night before the cruise. Looking for a rest. for dinner to watch the sunset. I recall someone saying something about The Best Burger Rest. or something like that? DOes anyone know of this place? Where it is...and how from from the Palms??

I guess that is saying that the House without a Key is doable for dinner. I guess Duke's and Tikis might be in a different section.

What is House without a key?? Is it on the beach?? Good for the sunset?? What time are the sunsets in Hawaii???? The link I was asking about is the Cheeseburger In Paridise. I hear you can watch the sunsets from there? It is about 2 miles from Aqua...should not cost much for a taxi.. does anyone know of this place??

I found House Without a Key on this website. They talked about just drinking and watching the sunset. You can also have dinner there. It looks amazing.

You can google it too. There are two Hula Dancers, I think they are former Miss Hawaiis, music, the sunset, and good food..from what I read.

I LOVE Jimmy B. I must have all of his cds in my car. ;)
