Pool bags

The Celebrity ones were a sort fo canvas material that seemed more or less disposable after the cruise. HAL had cloth bags and that was ncie because you could wash them when you got home.

Trust me, there were few things we liked better on HAL but this was one of them.

I agree with Donna - bring your own bag. They don't take up any space in a suitcase at all and then it doesn't match 1,000 others up on the pool deck or at the beach so it's easier to spot and much less likely to be accidentally taken by somebody else.

Good point!

I might suggest considering bringing your own bag, it gives you a bit more anonymity. By advertising that your on a ship, only there for the day, you might be more of a target for those so inclined to take advantage of the situation.

How and where do you get these bags? We have been on a couple of Celebrity cruises, and have never seen them, probably because we usually bring our own. They're not those plastic bags, are they?

They're usually in your room at check-in in clear plastic wrap. I use them for the gym to carry my stuff. The first ones I got on Galaxy years ago were better quality.

Ours were by the safe, on Constellation, but it was never clear if they were complimentary or if you would be billed for them if you took them.

Last week on the Century we had the tan ones in plastic wrap by our safe: we just left them alone. We had a much larger, still not the same high-quality that you used to get, navy blue bag in our cabin on the bed when we first got to the cabin. That bag we kept as we always do. (We also got a nicer one from the Captain's Club as one of our 'nightly gifts' which we also kept.)
