Millennium cabin safe info needed

On the Millennium do the cabin safes use a credit card to open or do they use a number, key board system?

They are able to use either as I recall. I always use the numerical keyboard.

On Infinity, there was a sticker on the safe that said NOT to slide a card. We just used the keypad.

I seem to remember you could use your shipboard account card or use the keypad. But that could have been at some hotel also. Getting old is hell...:p

Hello !

 

At one time, the safes did allow you to use a Credit Card and I think the room key as well. On my most recent Cruises, on Summit and on Millennium, the Key Card area was taped up, so that it could not be used. The only option was to use the keypad. You set it to your own personal pincode the first time you use the safe.
