Costa vs Princess Asia itineraries

I am almost mid 40s, travel solo, and want to see Asia.

I have been planning to book the Princess Sun for July 19, 2009 for a twenty-one day roundtrip from Australia.

Today I found a Costa Allegra cruise which is reasonable at Christmas, and it is roundtrip Hong Kong.

Even the airfare rt Hong Kong at Christmas is quite a bit cheaper than rt Australia in the summer.

I know the Costa cruise goes to Manila, Bornea, Brunei, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh, Danang, and Sanya with nice long port days.

The Princess one besides a port in Exmouth Australia goes to Ho Chi Minh City, Sihanoukville, Bangkok, Koh Samui, Malacca, Langkawi, Kuala Lumpur, and Singapore.

Having no experience in Asia, I know only minimal about some of the ports.

Right now I am contemplating cancelling my Christmas cruise and doing Asia then.

Any thoughts on the two options?
