txwildflower2002 Posted March 18, 2008 #1 Share Posted March 18, 2008 Which cabin would you choose? I have never been in an aft before, so I am booked in 8275, but 8232 has become available and it has a sweet balcony. It is DH and I. Thanks! txwildflower2002 Posted March 18, 2008 Author #2 Share Posted March 18, 2008 It won't stay available for long! I posted on the cabin tips boards before here and didn't get any replies. Some advice needed, please!
mkitchy Posted March 18, 2008 #3 Share Posted March 18, 2008 8232!!! We've had this cabin three times, once on the Spirit and twice on the Pride. Love the huge balcony. We've also had 8270 on the Pride, but still prefer 8232. Good luck.
rideroftheseas Posted March 18, 2008 #4 Share Posted March 18, 2008 We stayed in 8275 on the sister ship the Miracle. Have booked it again for our Hawaii Cruise in 2009. We loved it!
mr. cruiser Posted March 18, 2008 #5 Share Posted March 18, 2008 Tough choice. Being at the aft is what I would chose, but if you like the idea of a larger balcony you might want to change. Good luck
serene56 Posted March 18, 2008 #6 Share Posted March 18, 2008 8232 for sure for a bigger balcony: its more centrally located and its bigger which makes it better. 8232 will be something like this: compared to: if its not available no longer check to see if the one on deck 7 is still there. (try not to ake the side ways cabin as they are handicapped cabins)
TheCougarCruiser Posted March 18, 2008 #7 Share Posted March 18, 2008 8232!!!!!!!!!!! the balcony is published as still 35sq/ft....but remember this....the deck plan will show you the truth!!! as much as id love a rear balcony on the pride, you do not get the scope of the balcony size that compares to 8232. unless you step up again to 11 corner suite take 8232!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! txwildflower2002 Posted March 18, 2008 Author #8 Share Posted March 18, 2008 Guess I won't see what an aft is like this cruise. I took 8232 because of the large balcony, privacy, shade. The only downfall is the lifeboats below. The rooms are all the same and we aren't sun worshippers, so I switched. I can just see myself on that lounger reading a good book with DH beside me sleeping. LOL! Thanks for the tips and pics. Serene56 you seem to know alot about cabins! We have 6232 and 6234 booked on the Spirit ship so I'd imagine it would be the same layout but I don't know if it's connected.
Jenbo57 Posted March 19, 2008 #10 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Here's the balcony on 8232. We loved it, and will book this same stateroom again!
Jenbo57 Posted March 19, 2008 #11 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Here's another view, from the opposite end. And no, 8232 and 8234 don't connect, since there's some sort of storage room in between (which is why the two balconies are so large.)

I spend a lot of time on my first and last day taking tours. (LOL) the lifeboats are on deck 4- they wont be in your way. you can see water= not straight down. We have 6232 and 6234 booked on the Spirit ship so I'd imagine it would be the same layout but I don't know if it's connected. 6234 is a HC cabin and if there is no need you could be moved. If you have kids in one cabin with you next door- that move could not be good.
lccruiser Posted March 19, 2008 #14 Share Posted March 19, 2008 Not all of the balcolnies are covered like that are they? We enjoy a little sun
lccruiser Posted March 19, 2008 #15 Share Posted March 19, 2008 I just looked at the deck layout and it looks like all extended balconies might be covered. They are the rooms that are set in. I don't think I would like that.
